Biography
Taylor Jenkins Reid was born in Maryland in 1983, and moved to Massachusetts aged 12. After studying media studies at college, she started her career in film production, moving to Los Angeles to work as a casting assistant.
Her debut novel, Forever, Interrupted, was published in 2013. Three more novels followed, but it was the publication of her fourth, The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo, that made her a household name. Topping bestseller lists and earning her a loyal fan base on BookTok, it was nominated for the Goodreads Best Historical Fiction award in 2017.
In 2019, Daisy Jones And The Six was published. Telling the story of the rise and fall of a fictitious 1970s rock band, it won the Goodreads Best Historical Fiction award in that year. Malibu Rising and Carrie Soto Is Back followed in 2021 and 2022, both of which were Sunday Times bestsellers and winners of the Goodreads Historical Fiction award.
