Author's Bio

Rahul Jandial, MD, PhD, is a neurosurgeon and scientist with the University of California, San Diego Medical Center and the Burnham Institute for Medical Research in La Jolla, California. He lives in San Diego with his wife, Danielle – also a physician and scientist – and their three sons, Zain, Kai, and Ronak.

Henry E. Aryan, MD, is a neurosurgeon who completed his fellowship in Complex Spinal Reconstruction and Neurospinal Oncology from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He maintains an academic affiliation with UCSF as well as a private practice in Fresno, California, where he lives with his journalist wife and their two children.
