Dave Huss (Austin, TX) has been working with desktop scanners since they first appeared in the marketplace in the 1980s. For over five years he served as a consultant for three of the top scanner companies. He has authored or co-authored 10 books on Corel Photo-Paint that have been translated into 8 languages. In addition to writing books, he writes a weekly news column Graphically Speaking that contains news, rumours and reviews about the graphics industry. He has been seen on CNN and teaches scanning at conferences around the world. In addition to his writing schedule, he maintains his job as Sr. Technical writer and Graphic Illustrator for Motorola.
